1/4 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup margarine, softened
1/4 tsp cloves
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour , sifted
1 1/2 cups raisins
1 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1/2 cup currants
1 1/2 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Soda
1/3 cup chopped citron
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup packed brown sugar
Mix and sift dry ingredients. Add fruits and stir until they are well coated. In a separate bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, and add flour/fruit mixture alternately with milk. Mix well. Turn into greased 1-1/2 quart mold. Cover and steam 2 hours.(to steam, set mold on a rack in large kettle/saucepan. Keep boiling water to half the depth of the mold, adding water during steaming process when necessary.)
