1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. Clabber Girl Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
10 c. popped corn
1 1/2 c. salted peanuts
1/2 c. butter or margarine
In a large bowl, mix together the popped corn and peanuts. In a saucepan melt the butter; stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil for another 3 minutes; remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour mixture over popcorn and nuts, stirring to coat evenly. Spread mixture in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 250° F. for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from oven and cool on wax paper or aluminum foil.
