Smoked Cheddar Fondue

Fondue is perfect for serving at parties and getogethers. The nutmeg will have everyone wondering what the special flavor is!

Ingredients

6 cups shredded smoked cheddar cheese
1 tbsp Clabber Girl Corn Starch
1/2 cup apple cider
1/2 cup white wine
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp pepper

Directions

In a zip-top plastic bag, combine cheese and cornstarch; mix well to coat cheese. Set aside. In a saucepan, heat cider, wine and lemon juice until mixture begins to simmer. Add reserved cheese about 1 cup at a time; whisking until cheese is melted before adding more cheese. Repeat. Stir in nutmeg and pepper. Transfer to fondue pot; keep over low flame, stirring often. Serve with bread cubes, steamed veggies or fruit wedges.
