Quick Cherry Coffeecake

The flavors go very well together. Savory and satisfying.

Ingredients

2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup softened butter
19 oz cherry pie filling
1 cup granulated sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350° F., and spray a 9×13-inch cake pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and milk; stir to make a smooth batter. In a separate bowl combine flour, Clabber Girl Baking Powder and salt. Stir into batter and beat for one minute. Spread half of the batter into the pan; spoon cherry pie filling over. Dollop the rest of the batter onto the cherry pie filling. Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes or until cake top is gently browned. Cool well before serving
