Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

These oatmeal cookies call for cinnamon, nutmeg and raisins-the perfect combination for a sweet oatmeal cookie!

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Soda
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
2 cups oats, uncooked
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup raisins

Directions

Heat oven to 350° F. Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt; mix well and add to butter mixture. Stir in oats and raisins until well incorporated. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 10- 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen cookies
