Peach-Cobbler-LR

An easy-to-follow recipe for peach cobbler that will look as good as it will taste!

Ingredients

1/2 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Powder
4 cups sliced fresh peaches
Syrup:
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tbsp Clabber Girl Corn Starch
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 F. Spray a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, cream the butter and sugar; add milk and whisk in the flour and baking powder. Mix for 2 minutes. Place peeled and sliced peaches in baking dish. Pour batter over them and spread out. In a small saucepan mix the 3/4 cup granulated sugar, cornstarch and water. Bring to a boil, let rest a few minutes then pour syrup over batter. Bake 30 minutes at 400 F. Excellent served warm or cold. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Refrigerate leftovers, if any.
