1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
1 tbsp powdered sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1/4 tsp salt
6 tbsp Butter *
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 F; grease and flour cookie sheet. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together; stir in eggs. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, Clabber Girl Baking Powder and salt. Add this to the creamed mixture and mix thoroughly. Mix in chopped walnuts and chocolate chips. With floured hands shape dough into two flattened logs approximately 12 inches long; sprinkle with powdered sugar. Bake 35 minutes; cool on baking sheet until warm, about 10 minutes; transfer to cutting board and cut into 3/4 inch slices.Arrange cut pieces with cut sides down on baking sheet and bake until crisp, about 8 to 10 minutes. Let them sit 1-2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
