Ingredients

  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 1 C. granulated sugar
  • 2/3 C. butter, softened
  • 2/3 C. Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 3 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. Beat together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, and shortening until the mixture is incorporated and light in color.
  3. Add in the eggs and pure vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Once combined slowly add to the wet ingredients.
  5. Gently stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips into the soft formed dough.
  6. Using a tablespoon, form the dough into balls. Spread the dropped dough 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350° F or until light golden brown color.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
