Chili powder meat rub can be used on steaks, chicken breast, salmon, pork tenderloin and many other cuts of meat. Best of all, you can make this rub ahead of time and still have leftover to use for a different recipe.

Ingredients

3 bay leaves
2 tsp espresso
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp ground cloves
1/2 cup paprika
2 tbsp Clabber Girl Corn Starch
1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 dried ancho chilies, pull stems save seeds
8 tsp ground cumin
4 dried pasilla chilies, pull stems save seeds
4 tsp dried oregano
2 chili arbol, pull stems save seeds
4 tsp salt
2 dried chipotle chiles, pull stems save seeds
2 tsp granulated garlic

Directions

Tear all the chilies into rough pieces. In a large dry saute pan dry roast all of the ingredients for about 10 minutes over medium heat. place the mixture in a food processor and blend to a fine powder. Store in an airtight container and use in all your favorite recipes as a chili powder or meat rub.
