Blonde Brownies

WARNING: Addictive! These brownies are soft and chewy and satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

1 cup margarine
Frosting (if desired)
2 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
Garnish: walnut or pecan halves
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions

Melt margarine in saucepan. Add brown sugar and blend well. Remove from heat and cool. Add eggs and dry ingredients. Add vanilla, chocolate chips and walnuts. Stir until combined. Spread in greased 15×10-inch sheet pan. Bake at 350 F for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely before frosting and cut into squares, then garnish with nut halves.
