2 C. all-purpose flour, sifted
1 Tbsp. Rumford Baking Powder
1 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. shortening
2/3 C. milk
Preheat oven to 450° F. Grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper, set aside.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk to make a soft dough.
Turn out on floured surface and knead gently for 30 seconds. Roll out to 1/2 to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut into rounds of desired size and place on greased baking pan. Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
