Grease a 13×9-inch pan or line with parchment paper.
Apple Spice Bars: In a bowl mix sugar, butter and egg. Blend until creamy.
Add flour, applesauce, allspice, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Once mix is combined, add raisins and nuts then fold into mixture evenly.
Spoon batter into prepared pan and bake in preheated oven for 25 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely then frost (optional).
Cream Cheese Frosting: In a medium bowl, cream together cream cheese and butter until smooth.
Gradually add sifted powdered sugar with vanilla and mix until completely incorporated. Store frosting in the refrigerator after use.
