Clabber Girl initiated the process to test for peanut proteins when cookie mixes were being manufactured; the cookies were sold in schools and there was a greater concern among consumers over products that were finished goods (or close to finished goods). Clabber Girl ceased manufacturing cookie mixes in early 2014.
