Thank God for Rumford. I started craving biscuits and decided it was time to learn how to make them but they kept turning out bitter. After much trial and error I figured out it was the Argo baking powder (aluminum free)I was using. Tried Rumford this morning and my biscuits were delicious.

I remember my Mom baking on the holidays and she used to have extra dough. She would make the best cinnamon rolls with the dough..I can almost smell them now. My sister, Connie and I were always so excited when she made those wonderful cinnamon rolls and who was going to get the first one!

1) Do you have a recipe for biscuits that uses oil?

2) If you use salted butter instead of shortening, would you need to decrease the salt?

Looking for a cooked Icing my Mom used when making my Coconut Birthday cake back in the late 40's & 50's. It was like a hard glaze which she then threw the coconut on & it stuck. Anyone who can help me? Thanks Carolyn

For each cup of self-rising flour, add 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
